Cassandra_GreySeerer: The castle had been the last place she wanted to be at the moment she walked out the doors. She abhorred it and everything within it. Bad tempered? Ellatole had seen nothing and she was sure he'd be wise enough to keep clear of her for a while. She didn't care where she went to, as long as it was away. A brief pause to look the tavern over, there was often another of her ilk waiting in the shadows or roosting upon the roof but her cold grey stare found nothing. Just as she thought. She had felt nothing. Just as she liked it. Lips set into a firm line if disdain and her confident stride took her over the porch. Not a pause at the door as she pushed it open. In all her miserable, bitter hateful glory she strode in. - Wishing at once that she hadn't, the sight of one at the bar in all his arrogance…and everything else. It was Him that caused her to pause. The want to turn around and walk right back out again pushed away, she never walked away right? Poor deluded woman. "Bastard" an unspoken thought...a whisper that drifted away, was she cursing Him, or the fact that she had stumbled upon this place and had to face Him. Couldn't he have gone home? He probably had, how long had it been? She hissed at herself as she watched Alex. Beginning to pick up ace till she could stand aside him at the bar. Even dare to reach out and take his recently filled glass and smile a mocking smile as she raised it to toast his health?
alexander_kheinmor* And his newly filled glass was snagged out his hands. His kind of woman. The kind of girl he would wrestle in bed for Holy SHIT it was Cassandra. Play it cool Alex... He did that well enough, and so he put it on. The cold armor, the way too hard headed Alex wasn't going to let her arrogance out do his own. He leaned to the side. "Well I must say you're the best looking bundle of trouble I've seen in some time," he said, taking the reigns of the situation. Maybe she'd smack him and just get it the hell over with. That would be great. He had NO desire to talk to her about any of the shit that had happened. The Kid was fucked up and spouting bullshit, he called the kid on it and it blew up. And then she got mad! Messing with female's with kids was always a problem. His right arm, slung out just as boldly. Two could play at this game. He took hold of her by the waist and pulled her right onto his lap. Hoping that she attacked him out right. It would give him a reason to deck her, or, better yet to Run. He didn't think Eric would be too happy if he found out that he decked his sister in law... or whatever Cass was to Hope. Nevertheless it did feel good to have Cass back on his lap. His arm was around her like a python and he was indeed strong. His hand flattened out on her stomach and he rapped on the bar with his other hand. The cigarette still between his lips. "Another glass if you please." he offered. The glass was there, and he plucked the cigarette out from between his lips and much like the ass he was, flagrantly shoved it towards her, hoping to get some sort of rise out of her. Though maybe she was old enough to get over the fact that fire wasn't the biggest problem. "Care for a drag gorgeous?"
Cassandra_GreySeerer: The man infuriated her! But that was what he wanted wasn't it? Perhaps it as what she needed? The Vodka in the glass was downed in one, the glass replaced on the bar as his arm snaked about her waist and pulled her into his lap. She was quick to turn into him, to take a hold of his face with her other hand, to squeeze a little harder than endearing "Trouble?" she crooned "Well aren't you just precious!" she sneered as the cigarette came close. Everything about her said 'hate' she screamed it without a voice but it was all a damn lie. He left her when she had needed him the most…but wasn't she supposed to have known that was coming? Just like all the rest wasn't he? Even that was a lie, even to herself. She had missed him, needed him…but he wasn't one to do that sort of thing and so…the game as it were had gone on. - The bottle was reached for and the glass was filled…a little too full for a single measure. It was offered toward his lips all the same…only she chuckled a mocking sort of chuckle as she tipped the liquor from the glass before it could touch his lips "Oops…clumsy me" the grin may have been upon her face, but it lacked in her eyes. "I wouldn't drag you to Hell, Precious." Two could play his game.
alexander_kheinmor* This was turning out worse than he had figured. She had squeezed his face and he put up with it, and just seemed to grin and bear it. The cigarette was drawn back and he had almost wondered what would have happened if a bit of the fire had caught a strand of hair. Would her head go up? That part he had to ignore, because he didn't hate the woman, he didn't want to hurt her. But he'd be damned if he was going to deal with a screaming match, or some sort of bitching fiasco. The Peace Angels were all fucked up and he wasn't as serene and calm as his father, he wasn't going to deal with it patiently. He'd rather beat the hell out of everything until it couldn't move and THEN say something. He took his last drag of the cigarette and then snuffed it out ever so casually, only to feel warm vodka upon his crotch. He leaned his head back and grabbed a towel. "No problem, good to see you again though, so how's the family?" he asked, driving his elbow up clumsily, against the bottom of the glass. Of course it was timed. As soon as she drew it to her lips, he would tip it. Get a good flow of vodka down her mouth and that shirt of hers. Then light it! He wouldn't do that but it was a thought. He began to dry off his pants casually. "damn.. sorry... all thumbs."
Cassandra_GreySeerer: Oh yeah, just what she had always wanted. It was only fair but he'd not gain the reaction he was perhaps hoping for here. She only crooned as the warm Vodka tricked down her front, between her breasts and soaked through the small halter top she wore. It wasn't so bad. She perhaps knew of his thought and wouldn't that have just made her day! "What family?" she queried? Hope was dead to her. Al she had was the castle and Ellatole. She was hardly going to strike up conversation of family. "I should be asking about yours. But I'm really not that interested" she took from him the towel he had grabbed and padded down her front. The last person she wanted to know about was Hope, and she was now one of his. A Kheinmor. Wasn't that just peachy? She could just imagine the cute little family gatherings. His apology had been brushed off, and she sure as hell wasn't going to offer one. However, she rose from his lap and leaned against the bar. Fussing at her soaked top "Oh look. I'm al wet" a sweet smile offered as her eyes roamed him over…shame about the wet patch on his jeans…Things weren't all that bad at all.
alexander_kheinmor* "Good point," he said in a calm tone of voice. His family wasn't doing too well on that note. Eric was always Eric, the old dog wouldn't change, or so he imagined. Jao was wandering again. The news that his brother and his sisters had passed away hit close to home. Then again he hadn't known them well enough to care and that was what bothered him. Thankfully she wasn't interested, that gave him enough ammunition to go off of for the time being. He took the towel back and stood up. "you didn't do a good enough job cleaning up that's all." he said, slipping behind him, pinning her to the bar a bit, with a little of his weight. He leaned forward into her ear, with a smile on his face that simply meant trouble. The towel was brought up and he dabbed at her bosom ever so politely, but he lingered here and there. "Wouldn't want you to catch a cold or anything," he said, tugging a bit at the halter top with his other hand. He leaned his head to the side. If she didn't knock him across the room for this, and give him an excuse to walk off, he didn't know what would. However he did take the extra effort to take hold of one of her breasts through the cloth and give here a good old squeeze. One for the old days. He braced himself inwardly, waiting for it. And pressed his hips forward so that his crotch was against her ass. If he was getting nailed he was getting hit in the face or the chest. He wasn't going to let her have the pleasure of scoring one on his jewels.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: Perfect. This was exactly what she had expected of him. As much as she hadn't wanted to continue in here as soon as she had caught sight of Him…she was here now and making the most of a pretty bad situation. The atmosphere was tense and she radiated nothing but anger, bitterness and hate. However, she let Alex take care of the cleaning up, leaning back into him for the moment, a subtle sway of her hips as his crotch met and pressed into her backside. Even as far as to feign a purr of pleasure as he grasped and squeezed her breast. "Bastard" this time it was a whisper he might have heard but she turned within the small tight circle of space allowed, and looked up into his eyes. So many questions, so little time. She had to remind herself that she didn't care. This time, pale hands cupped his face so tenderly, and she rose on her toes to dare to push closer, till her lips could meet his. All the passion he might remember was still there, lust, desire and more…however, she was pushing forward all the same till there was room enough for her to sidle away. Lips torn from his brought a simple "Thanks for the drink" a knowing wink and then she would, walk away. Back the way she came. Probably to find a place to brood and mull over actually coming face to face with the one she couldn't and wouldn't forget. The one she had almost asked for help.

alexander_kheinmor* So close yet so far away. She wasn't going to deck him, and he saw that in her every movement. So what now, she wasn't actually going to kiss him was she? That thought had him running around in circles within his own head. It was confusing, women were confusing. Then again that was after all what made them interesting wasn't it? She then slid away from him and he smiled, she got her victory, he was gutted, but he had dealt with it before. It just happened again. Whose fault was it this time? Who started this? It was probably him wasn't it? He chuckled faintly to himself, she didn't win. The whisper of her voice, calling him a Bastard... No, she was hurting too. He let her go though. Turning to watch her sway out of the tavern and out of his life again. Those were the breaks and he supposed that it was for the better. After all, her kid freaked him out. Hell half of the family did. He was glad he hadn't met Moon. He probably would've knocked the old codger onto his ass. Hope was the sweet one, he definately had a thing for Faith and Cass, but it wasn't The Nine Isles. Things weren't simply horrible. They were horribly complex. He took in a deep breath and turned and refilled his glass of vodka. Not a word was spoken. What was he suppose to do, chase after her? Like hell, she didn't chase after him. Maybe he had wanted it. He shook his head, and raised his left hand, brushing away the cool, dark blond locks from before his gaze as he sat the glass down. -Better luck next time chum.- Said the bartender. Alex smiled. "Make your own luck is what I say." he offered with a smile, as he sat his coins down. "Thanks."
Cassandra_GreySeerer: So she had walked away. There were no expectation of him ever following her, in fact she didn't want him to. She was content enough to remember how he felt against her, how his lips felt against hers and for the first time in a long time there was amusement etched into her pale features. She'd wait, bide her time, she was good at that right? It wasn't as though she didn't have the time, and the inclination was certainly there. In the tree-line she'd watch the tavern she'd left, watch for Alex venturing out. The shade of an old ash would serve, settling at the base, the trunk at her back she'd most certainly watch. One wrist idly placed atop a knee, inner lower lip chewed as the possibilities were mulled over. Why was he here? Why today of all days did she have to run into him? The Fates were odd but at least she'd got a drink out of him…all down her top….which was once again fussed with. It'd not take long to dry. Shame about his jeans though, at least Vodka didn't stain.
alexander_kheinmor* Thankfully for her Vodka didn't stain. A few more drinks were had, but that was that. He wasn't finding what he wanted, he didn't seem to find what he wanted in Ayenne. His right hand ascended and he smoothed back his blond hair, and closed his eyes for a moment as a few more coins were dropped onto the bar counter. A deep breath was taken before he exhaled it out. She was as good as out of his head. Or so he would have liked. It wasn't like him to be so thoughtful of anyone other than himself. He was at least somewhat honest with himself in that regard. He was a good man, but he had a problem with a few key factors. People who had huge hang ups, people who were loud, and didn't shut up, and people who flaunted power. That and authority. He was a punk through and through, and according to most of his family would always be a punk. He turned on heel and didn't say a word. The next portal he found he was taking. He didn't care where it lead him. He just wanted to get the hell out of Ayenne. Forget about Cass, forget about two dead sisters, and a dead brother that he never knew. Forget about family mess and Greyseerers. Let it all slide off of his back. It wasn't sliding off the way he wanted and that was what was bothering him. He flatted his hand against the door and eased it open, and paced out. His eyes instantly ascended to find Cass off in the distance. He was familiar with her level of power, and it caught him off guard for a moment. "Fuuuck, what does she want now..?" he murmurred to himself as he sucked it up and decided to just walk forward.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: It was most certainly just as well she hadn't another pressing appointment to attend. He sure did take his sweet time. Arrogant prick! Still she let that one rest upon her lips as they formed a sardonic sort of smile as he appeared in the door. She could guess what he must have been thinking from the subtle change in his stride though she said nothing, as much as she would have loved to have called out some taunt or other she said nothing. Merely clicking her fingernails with irritation as he walked toward her. What were the chances of him walking straight past? What did she want from him? A way out? An escape? He wouldn't give a damn even if she had asked, Her thoughts showed upon her face as that smile turned into a sneer. Causing to turn her head for just a moment, the façade of sweeping her hair from her face…it was enough wasn't it? - Too much to bear, the silence between them, the atmosphere anyone could have sliced with a keen enough blade. She did call up as that distance between them grew shorter "Flying visit, is it?" Just what exactly kept him here in this stinking hole of a place?
alexander_kheinmor* He was watching her without watching her. The very fact that she was sitting there was clue enough to the realization that she wanted something. He had no idea what she wanted and he wasn't going to ask her. That wasn't his place, she didn't give a damn about him and he didn't give a damn about her. So why the Hell was she here? Sitting here, and then pretending that all was well. He was old, though he didn't act the part. He knew people well enough to know a few things. Casual sweep of her hair indeed. He could see the sneer on her face as if she had spat a big one right at him. He rolled his eyes though as she turned her head and then her voice came as he continued on. Flying visit. He didn't bother stopping he continued walking. "Sure.." was all he said. That was all he needed to say. In truth he was tired of Ayenne, he was tired of living in this fucked up cesspool of a world. He was tired of moody, stupid women and their fucked up families causing problems for HIM of all people. He would've helped her in anything. That was who he was. He would've done anything to save the day. He was the hero, and now he was just tired. Everyone's crap seemed to boil over into his plate for some reason.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: Well, she'd asked for that. Speak when spoken to. She got an answer to her question and that was that? What that all it had come to? Perhaps she'd been wrong when she had thought she had a friend. Following his stride, turning her head, even fidgeting till she could see his back she ran through a multitude of thoughts. Was he just another one that didn't see her? Only the Angel who's shadow she constantly lived in? Was that all she was? That thought hurt so much her voice was thick with it when she eventually managed to choke past everything "I need help Alex" would he hear that? Would he even give a fuck? She couldn't look any more, she'd already seen him walk away once, she wasn't going to watch it all over again. Resuming the position she had against the old Ash at her back. Laying her head back against the trunk of the old tree she listened…closing her eyes…breathing past it all to truly listen to what the old tree had to say…if anything at all
alexander_kheinmor* She took her place behind him, he could feel that much and he continued walking. Whatever her issues were, they were her issues. Wasn't that how it went? Eric married into their damn family, let him deal with their shit. He wasn't always that cold, but with the stress of Ayenne and the fact that he had lost family that he hadn't even known. It troubled him and grieved him and what had happened between himself and Cass last time hadn't helped anything. He was far too abrasive for her and while he wouldn't admit that to anyone but himself, he wasn't too proud to not realize it. It wasn't that she deserved better, she just deserved someone else entirely or so it seemed. Her words did cause him to stop. Help... While David was the soft hearted one who would jump into any peril if someone asked for help, he was different. He was different in the fact that he would do the same, but he would do it with a lot more edge. He turned over his shoulder, her words ringing in his ears over and over again. That was what it was all about wasn't it? "What do you need?" was all he said, he was tired, that much was clear. However his voice didn't seem stressed. He didn't speak to her as if it was a big deal, or that it was going out of his way. He didn't respond as if she were an annoyance. He asked her what she needed with genuine interest. He did care, it was just hard to see Alex for who he was.

Cassandra_GreySeerer: She'd been dreading what may have followed. If he stayed or left again…would it have mattered? She'd have faded away back to the shadows, back to the castle, back to Sarischa and his abuse. Ellatole and …she didn't want to think about it. What else was there? It was and always had been about Hope. Cass was an oversight…even her own Father hadn't seen her, and now it was too late. "I need out." she could see that he was tired, and she was too. She needed to be seen. It wasn't much was it? "If you cant help me Alex, say something now then we can all go back to what we were doing" short and to the point. Who else was there she could have turned to? Faith? That was laughable in itself. Mother and Father were dead, not that they were ever much use anyway. Hope…she had severed all ties with her Angel and it had killed her to do so but she was determined to stick to her choice. At least Alex had his family to turn to…and the biggest part of hers too. Sometimes things just didn't seem fair and she resented the fact that he had what she desired most. Once it had all been so good…till Hope outshone them all. Jealous? To the core! - Grey eyes would find him then and breath was so still so she'd not miss a word he had to say.
alexander_kheinmor* For a moment he stood there. Help? For what, when? He had no idea what was going on, but somehow he could imagine that he knew. Somewhere in his mind he could almost picture what she needed. She needed out? He couldn't smile he couldn't make light of the notion because Out was the same thing he was looking for. He leaned his head to the side and took in a deep breath and thought about it long and hard. His hand extended just as simply, reaching out for her to take his hand. "Just you..." he said in a calm tone of voice. "Not your family, not your son, not your problems, not your tears, not your hatred, not your jealousy, not your problems... Just you." he said. It was cruel of him to ask that. He didn't much have the mind to say anything more. He wanted out of this place and he didn't want any trace of it following him. Much less whatever it was that had her weighed down. No, he was well resigned to leave it all behind. Good bye to Father and Uncle, he'd join up with David. If David was back on the Isles, wonderful, if not, he'd visit earth. It didn't matter, so long as it wasn't Ayenne.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: "Just me" was it desperation that made her lie? Reaching up to take his hand, using his weight against her own as she pulled herself up to stand…was he offering just that? A way out? Was it possible? A new start, a change? So many questions! If it was a chance for just that she had to change too. If he could give her what she wanted then he deserved the truth "I don't know about the tears, the jealousy or the hate…Its all I've had" and it was for the most part. Poor Cassandra, so badly done to…and she had been. Although she never spoke of most of it, she couldn't bring herself to burden another soul. It was just easier to hate, in silence, in Hope's shadow. - Was she running away? Maybe she was, would it matter if she was? She needed something other than she had…and what did that surmount to. Ellatole and the castle. Faith and her broody fucked up self…what exactly would she be leaving behind…other than her own heritage, a family she abhorred. "Just me Alex…" sighing heavily with her resolve she re-affirmed that "Just me" and given time, she might be fortunate enough to be able to find herself and what she thought she needed.
alexander_kheinmor* A nod of his head was given and he took hold of her hand and pulled her against him. He crouched down and wasted no time in already heading off. The force of his movements surged around his frame, causing the ground to ripple away from him like water as he vaulted into the heavens, and spiraled upwards with a single arm around her waist. Romantic? Maybe, was he thinking about it. Probably not at that particular moment. He was up in the heavens, parting the clouds and then gazing about. He was searching for that familiar disturbance that he had seen time and time again. Then again he paused and chuckled. He just wasn't thinking. "hold on." he said and with that, there was a slight 'pop' all around them, a simple little noise and they were standing in front of a door in a very different location. It was a house a modern house, not that she'd ever seen one before. Maybe she had, maybe not. Who knew? He dug around in his pocket for keys and unlocked the door and opened it. Without a word he was walking into the house. Fine carpet upon the floor, two black leather couches to the far right upon entering. And a flat screen television in the corner. A kitchen with an open bar counter, and fine tiled floors, and open, spacious living room, steps in the middle leading up to a balcony with a few rooms. It was home sweet home, a villa of majestic proportions. It was the good life. "A few rules. This is earth... Don't let humans know what you are, and don't cause too much havoc. The vampires here rule everything sort of and they keep things nice and clean. Don't step on their toes and you won't have a problem.." he said as he began to unbutton his shirt. "Welcome to your new home... I mean.. the realm that is. If you want to head out on your own, by all means. The kitchen's over there, the televisions there." he scooped up a remote and turned it on. Moving Pictures! Yea that had shocked him too at one time. "I'm hitting the shower."
Cassandra_GreySeerer: Ah, she'd been in this position before and she kinda knew what was coming next. Automatically slinging her arms around his neck, burying her face in against his shoulder as they took off…just like that. Well it was a gift she could respect…as long as she held on. It wasn't like she was going to let go anytime soon either. 'Hold on' he said. She didn't look, not till she was set down before a …what was it? A different kind of castle she supposed. However, she didn't waste a moment scooting through the door after him. Gazing at the floor as her boots made no sound upon the carpet. Brow arched with curiosity as she looked about the place. It was different that was for sure. She listened to him explain briefly where she was. Earth? "How far from home are we?" she had to ask. Was there enough distance placed between her and that castle? "I don't plan on causing trouble" no she had other things to sort through in her own mind. All she needed was time…and lots of it. Wasn't that all she had now? "The…what?" her attention was instantly caught by the television. Eyes narrowed and she peered at the screen. Totally missing Alex saying he was going to shower. "What the fuck is that?" her voice raised a little as she pointed toward the screen. It was talking at her and she didn't much like it. It wouldn't stop. All she wanted right there and then was a little peace and quiet. She wanted to brood, take stock of her new 'home'. Had he really said that and then tried to cover…no. He hadn't at all. Turning her back and walking away from the thing that made all the noise…maybe it would go away if she wasn't there to see it? That's right…hide.
alexander_kheinmor* The house was large, but nothing compared to a castle. It was roomy. The kitchen was wide and had finely tiled floors, and all of the appliances that most modern homes had. And all of them were as confusing as they would be to someone how had never thought to have dreamed of anything so odd. Large glass doors lead out towards a wide back yard with a hot tub and a large swimming pool not six feet from the hot tub. The living room was comfortable with more sitting couches and a table in the center with a deck of cards on it and a few magazines. He himself migrated up the stairs, stripping off clothing as he went and tossing it wherever. He'd clean it up later. Much, much later. He made his way into his room and then into the bathroom and began to set his shower. She'd be fine down there for all of ten minutes, after all she wasn't a twelve year old. Then again... The shower felt amazing, he was there for some time, when the phone rang. The loud ringing was something new as well. It rang and rang and rang and rang and then eventually Alex' voice came from a small, black box next to the offending, ringing machine. -Hey this is Alex, you've missed me, I'll call you back later, if you leave your name and number, thanks bye. - It sounded like him, but he was upstairs... wasn't he? How did he get his voice in the box! Nevertheless some other voice got on. "Hey Alex this is Ron, I kept everything neat and nice in your pad, threw two parties, sorry you missed it. If you find a missing rolex, a bra, and my pager, please please please let me no, I have an angry Kirai, on my back, and she won't let up... okay , take care bye!" the message ended. Alex soon enough slipped out of the shower with a towel around his waist and sat down on the bed and began to dry his hair. It was nice to take a hot shower, he smelled great, and felt so much better.

Cassandra_GreySeerer: Her brow was set into a deep frown as she wandered around the living room. She didn't know where to put herself. It didn't matter where she went that box talked at her. Didn't it ever stop!? This…noise wasn't what she had thought a new place would be like at all. However, she wandered and looked for another door, possibly a way out. Some place else where she didn't have to listen to…She froze as the phone rang. She backtracked a step just in case she'd stood on something. "Alex!" she called out. Had he heard her? Would he hear her? He was still here wasn't he? Yes of course he was, she just couldn't hear him for all the noise. As if she didn't hear enough voices. There was more…where else would they come from. Turning on her heel she marched, with a heavy step to make sure she could hear with a dull thud every step she took, into the kitchen. Finding a corner to press herself into she'd wait just there and try to shut out the racket. Till at least Alex came to sort it all out. She wasn't touching anything. Not till she knew just exactly what was what.
alexander_kheinmor* Soon enough he was in a robe, and boxers and migrating down the steps. He felt so much better, the answering machine was noted and the television was on without anyone paying it mind. He turned it off and then went over to check the machine. He smiled and shook his head. "Missed two parties in my own house. You owe me you bastard." he said with a smile as he paced into the kitchen and to the fridge. He saw Cass in the corner and he opened the fridge and pulled out a long neck. He sighed and pulled out another one. "Come on, have a drink and take a seat. This will take some getting use to. You're far from home, very far from home. This is Earth..." he explained. "You're in another realm entirely. You're dealing with advanced technology in this day and age. Far more than what you might be use to back in Ayenne." he offered as he paced out to the living room and took a seat. "Come on, take a seat." he offered waving her offer, and keeping the beer in hand, extended towards her.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: It was a relief to actually see Alex reappear. Even more of a relief as the television was shut off. It was clearly seen, it must have been. "Does it ever stop?" she asked. Settling quickly enough once the quiet once more took precedence. She was of course referring to the talking, the constant noise that came from the boxes. This was going to take some getting used to. "You live here?" all she knew was Ayenee. This had never even entered her wildest dreams of what somewhere else would have been like. She came from the corner and took the offered bottle. "This will take some getting used to" she muttered as she took a seat as she was coaxed to. "Is there such a thing as a room I can go to?" she'd seen the stairs. It wasn't as though she didn't know what those were for either. Even the castle had those...and rooms, lots and lots of rooms. This was different though, much smaller. Just where was she supposed to go?
alexander_kheinmor* "Just take your time and watch, do a lot of watching. Get familiar with this area and then find a quiet place to observe." he explained as he twisted open the top of the beer and took a long drink. "Don't rush into anything, just be aware of your surroundings and you'll do fine. Every day new creatures come to earth and settle down for whatever reason. You'll be fine." he said as he stood to his feet. "Come one I'll show you to your room," he said as he ventured up the stairs and turned to the left and opened the door. He lead her inside and pointed out the objects. "Okay, you have a tv here, this is hot you turn it on, and turn it off, easy. Okay, you can file through channels, yadda yadda like this," he said, pushing the buttons. "But I trust you'll not want to bother..." he said as he ventured to the window and closed the large panels. These shutters are sun blockers, so you'll be fine to sleep during the day, unless.. that's just not a problem anymore," he said as he then went to the bathroom and proceeded to explain how the shower and bath worked. How the sink and faucets worked and how the toilet worked, not that she had to use it. He shook his head. "Anywhom, if you have any questions, I'll be downstairs, watching television." he said as he began to make his way for the door of the room in which she was welcome to stay.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: Overwhelmed was an understatement. She had no choice other than to listen and learn. A challenge she would no doubt come to enjoy and embrace with al she had. Wasn't that what she had always done? Given everything, her all just to impress, to try to be seen? Of course she followed, like a lap dog. Listening to every word Alex spoke. Paying the most attention to the television. Daring to go so far as to smile…so it turned on…and then off. Wonderful, perhaps in time she'd take a peek, maybe she'd learn a great deep from it all. "Thanks Alex" spoken softly as she was left in the room he had loaned her for the duration of her stay? "If you don't mind, I'd like to stay here" she meant the room. She just wanted the quiet…a meaningful conversation would have been good too but she watched him go all the same. Moving over to the window to peel back the shutter and look out on what this Earth was like. Lucky enough to not have the sun cause her any problems at all, she still smiled though as he had at least taken that into consideration. Her door was left open…at least if he had to have the noise…and she could hear it. Although she wanted the quiet, she knew he was there. He was effectively, now, all she had.
alexander_kheinmor* He left the door ajar just to ler her know she was welcome. When she said she wanted to stay he turned and gave her a nod. "Fair enough, I'll be downstairs." he said as he drifted down to let her have her time to soak it all in. Beyond those windows was a vast metropolis that spanned for miles on end. It was quiet around where he lived but beyond there was a city and it was massive and it was busy. Even in the darkness, even in the evening there was so much activity so much life, so much movement. Alex wandered down the steps and took a seat on his couch and finished off his beer. The tv was turned on and the volume lowered as he leaned his head back and took in a deep breath. He had no idea what he was doing, but he could respect the need to escape. He needed it and he could understand why she might need it. Though in truth he only new part of Cassandra's problems. He had a thing for her, a small thing but it was enough of a thing to make him want to help.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: For the first time in a long time she was afraid. Would she ever admit it? It'd take as much of a miracle for her to admit that, as it had been for her to ask for help. Alex had given her the escape she needed but…was this what she wanted. She wrestled with her thoughts for a long time. Going over this and that. Did she regret leaving the castle at all…the truth was she hadn't even given it or Ell a second thought, not even a first thought. How could she after what he had done? - This time she was alone, well and truly alone. Alex wouldn't stay tied to this place for long. Even she wasn't so foolish to think that he would. How long was this welcome extended for? - Just in case she didn't have long, she'd be sure to get on the learning thing as soon as she'd caught her breath, so to speak. How long she wondered before they…before anyone realised she was gone. Would they even care? She scoffed at that thought and turned way from the window, replacing the shutter so the room was once again cast in shade. Crawling onto the bed in silent misery, facing away from the door. Content to just…not think and perhaps find her dreams would lead her round this new place.

Cassandra_GreySeerer: It had been quiet for some time now, she could still hear the noise from the television downstairs though and had it not been for the strange place, the new situation she had been placed in. One single decision she had thought about so often, a chance meeting with Alex; she'd have stayed where she was in the room she had been loaned. Closing the door and all sounds from the lower level till she drifted off somewhere else. She had no desire to leave, not even under the cover of night and so…her loneliness and need to be close to someone had her leave the room and sneak downstairs to find Alex on the couch. Was he sleeping? It didn't matter if he was, she was tip-toing over the carpet till she could see. Close enough to clamber up onto the couch with him, only she preferred to straddle his lap rather than sit aside him. She was careful, slow defined movements, she didn't want to make him jump at all. A gentle finger placed over his lips as she leaned in close…as close as she had before, just enough to replace her finger with her lips. Nothing more, nothing less.
alexander_kheinmor* Indeed he had passed out on the couch while watching television. He had been through a lot and he hadn't had the mind to turn off the set and then make his way up to the room for a good night's rest. The robe, was still on him, the remote was held in a lazy hand and his head was canted to the side. When she drew near, and settled on his lap, he was still out until she was closer to him. His eyes opened suddenly and his hands clapped onto her sides without enough force to keep her in place. Recognition set in and then he was kissed. A touch of her lips to his own, and his grasp relaxed and he did. Whatever was running through his mind, after being awakened was unknown really. He didn't seem to be thinking, he didn't seem to mind the kiss, no not at all. In fact he was kissing her back, the soft kiss molding into something a bit more. Whether she stopped him or not, that was what it was. His hands upon her hips, keeping her in place, and his lips crushed against hers for some time. Unless of course she pulled away.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: She'd taken a risk with such a bold move but as things turned out it was one worth taking. She was so glad he hadn't pushed her away, it was easier to let that kiss, the smallest of things linger for just a few moments before she tore her lips from his "I missed you Alex" perhaps it was a good time to change, perhaps it was just a rare moment in which she chose to say what she really felt. It would have been better perhaps if things had been said a long time ago, as and when needed. It never hurt to let someone know they were loved, missed or appreciated? For the time she stayed where she was, content enough to remain on his lap. His hands on her hips adding that little extra something, which was nothing at all really…just a touch. A hesitant touch found her fingertips teasing from his face a few rogue strands of dirty blonde. She hadn't said much at all but it was heartfelt all the same.
alexander_kheinmor* When the kiss was broken he was a little breathless to say the least. He raised his head and the first thing he did was lift his right hand and grab for the remote control. The silence rushed into the room as the television was turned off. His eyes went to her face and he smiled when she said she missed him. "Of course you did... " he said, just as simply, as his hands returned to her sides. "I miss you too," he said, quite honestly. He was a sweet heart when it came down to it. Without the bullshit, without the problems, without all of the baggage, he was nice sometimes. He drew his hands up and gave her breasts a good squeeze as he leaned forward and gave her lips another peck. "Wanna hit the bed," he said, as he brushed his lips over her cheek. "You'll catch on fine here, and you're welcome to stay, I think we both need a vacation." he said thoughtfully, as he let his hands fall down to her thighs.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: Had it been a 'set in stone' stipulation that she couldn't look back and remember. The baggage, the problems, the heartache she'd left behind without a second thought. She shook her head a little at the thought of going back to the bedroom. The night was still young. She had to smile though, as brief as it was…he missed her too? Somehow, despite the honesty in his tone she couldn't bring herself to believe it. Alex had always been one to move on, he wasn't one to be tied by the pretty emotions such as love, responsibility and commitment. Was she? He got away with the squeeze of her breasts but her hands were soon taking a hold of his as they came to rest on her thighs. "There's a lot to take in. Are you sure I'm not hampering your lifestyle?" she had heard the male voice in the little back box. Talk of parties, the way Alex had feigned disappointment at actually having missed them. She didn't want to be a thorn in his side and she had to be careful lest he walk away again or even push her way. "For the first time in a long time Alex…" she paused and took a deep breath before she finished her sentence, her truth "I'm afraid" - so he had said she'd catch on just fine? She wasn't sure what she could and couldn't do, where she could and couldn't go. - The need to hunt would be apparent soon enough and that was one thing…she really didn't want to have to do.
alexander_kheinmor* When she took hold of his hands he reclined and looked at her for a moment. "You think way too much," he said as he lifted his hands and picked her up. He ascended from the couch and sat her down. "My lifestyle is as you see it. I live in the now, and I don't look back all that often. I do what I do.." he said as he turned and looked over his home. "I don't let anything hamper my lifestyle and maybe you could try living a lifestyle a little like my own," he said with a bit of a smile. "Y'know, have a good time, party, live it day by day and stop worrying about tommorrow, or a year ago." he said as he sat down across from her on the smaller couch. He took in a breath and looked up at the cieling of the living room. "There's nothing to be afraid of. Just live.." he said as he then turned his eyes upon her. It was so simple with him. Just do it, was all that he had to say, and in all honesty he thought it was that simple. "Don't be afraid, just live, just get on with it. This is a new world, take your steps and go see it. Everyone fucks up, but you're fortunate enough to have me around to save your ass when you do." he said, quite nonchalantly. Arrogant to the bitter end sometimes. "This is a new world, with new possibilities, you won't them or a new way if you don't take a chance."
Cassandra_GreySeerer: Ouch! She knew it. She damn well knew it and it hurt. Damn it hurt as he had set her to one side and again placed a distance between them. Even though he was only across on the other couch if was still more distance than she would have liked and probably a whole lot more than he would have liked too. "Old habits die hard. Old dogs and new tricks eh?" she sat on the very edge of the couch, gripping the very edge of the leather cushion. All she'd wanted to do was talk, maybe get some of her concerns off her chest but Alex wasn't one for listening. "Live…" she repeated. "That's just it Alex. I don't 'live' do I?" Surely he didn't expect her to just…go from what she knew to a totally new place and get into the groove did he? Perhaps he did and she half laughed at the thought. "I took a chance when I asked you for help." Did he know how hard that was for her to do? Ugh. It wasn't that he'd give a shit. "I'm here and ready to take that chance, but yeah, maybe you're right." She paused a moment, leaned back on the couch and glared "So…where's the best hunting ground?" did he even know? They moved in completely different circles. All she'd wanted to do was talk to him, maybe have him listen…C'est la vie. Or so it was turning out to be. "So…" she said quite complacently as she rose to her feet "Would you want to fuck now so you can sleep, or later." Yes…completely different circles.

alexander_kheinmor* She had him figured out to a certain point, but not completely. He had moved her for the sheer sake of being able to see her entirely, so he could look at her and talk to her and not be so distracted by.. her being so closed. It had been forever and a day since he had been with a woman and he wasn't the type that coped well with that. Nevertheless now was the time to talk and she did have his attention. Thankfully for him the conversation was short and somewhat to the point. He listened intently and gave a shrug of his shoulders. "You're old enough to realize that dwelling on the past isn't going to give you a future," he said quite simply. "I know you took a chance, I know it was hard for you. I'm not rubbing it in, I'm not saying you owe me one, I'm not asking for anything. I brought you here because in this world things can be as simple or as complex as you want them to be. Partially because your family isn't here, and mine isn't either. You can make a new name, start a new family, do something with yourself. But you won't do it if you're living back in Ayenne." he explained as he leaned back and rested his hands on his knees. "The best hunting ground?" he inquired. "Depends on your taste I suppose. High class, you're probably better off just going to Lee's Club... Club... " he paused and raised a brow. "I dunno, but it has a every high class supernatural being inside and in their vip lounge so you might as well just follow your nose to the biggest group of vampires. I think they have people that cater to being fed from. But if you want to hunt.." he chuckled and pointed past her to the large glass windows. "I'm no vampire, but New York is a bigass city.." he said as he leaned back and then raised a brow. "Look, I'd love to play but I can tell you're not really in the right mind for it." he said as he stood to his feet. "Go hunt, get your rest. I'm in the mood, but like I said, you don't owe me anything," he said. There was a bit of an edge to the way he said it. It was true, but it was insulting to think that, it was just a fuck now so he could sleep later ordeal. He enjoyed sex, he wasn't monogomous in the least, but he kept the dangerous ones usually. He ran his fingers through his hair and shook his head. "Like I said, me casa esu casa." he offered. "I'm going to turn in."
Cassandra_GreySeerer: "I might not want to follow my nose to the biggest group of vampires" just because she was one, that didn't mean she had to follow the trend did it. She never had before. This was going to be as hard as she made it on herself. Alex was screaming that at her and she knew it. "I don't want to hunt tonight" - nor any other night if she had her way "I don't want to live in the past either, that's why I'm here" had she made a mistake? "I don't want to fight with you" or did she? Wasn't that all a part of the attraction? He made her lose herself in a way in which she could shout what she felt, and say things she never would normally. She reached out to catch a hold of one of his hands before he could leave her in the cold again. "I just want to be with somebody Alex. I cant think of anyone else I'd rather be with" that wasn't because there wasn't anyone else. She really had missed him as she had said. Maybe with a little more time she'd look into her options here, maybe watch that box a while and learn. "I'll work on it. I promise" and she would. Simply because she wanted to, she needed to. However, it was clear that she wasn't going to let go of his hand. If he turned in, she turned in too. All she wanted was the company, even if it was a fight, a voice other than her own.
alexander_kheinmor* When his hand was grabbed he turned and looked towards her. He didn't find her pathetic in the least, or sad. He wasn't the person to label people, or to fall into whatever classes that people put themselves into. He was Alex and he didn't question it and he didn't expect anyone to do the same to themselves. Though it was rather stupid to think that other people wouldn't. He wrapped his fingers around her hand and tugged her up to her feet and scooped her up as if she were a pillow. It was easy, he was strong and maybe that was why he was the way he was. Because he was strong, becaue he could do what he wanted. He was a very bad good guy sometimes, and he didn't question that either. Maybe he didn't care. He was a show off sometimes, he was a punk almost all of the times. However, the few people who knew him for who he was knew that he had a good head on his shoulders when he wasn't flying off of the handle, and that he could be a sweet heart when he wasn't playing around. And so he didn't say a word, he didn't reply, he just migrated through the quiet house, the silent hallway and up the steps to the lonely bedroom that had been his. He slid her down onto the bed and removed the robe. He opted to keep the boxers on just for the sake of some sort of comfort. Tonight wasn't the night, he wasn't pushing it, in fact he didn't feel the need to for some odd reason. He was in the nice guy mood and part of it was because a woman needed his help and that made him feel that much stronger.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: It wasn't as though she enjoyed feeling so vulnerable, Cass was so used to doing her own thing, the restrictions placed on this new place already were her own doing. She knew this but she wasn't ready just yet to take that step, go that little bit further. She'd wanted to leave because there was nothing but pain on the other side, nothing but misery and that cold castle. She couldn't even talk to her sister about it. Faith…the first thought for one of her own in a long time and she turned away from it. Burying herself in against Alex, just giving into that strength she just couldn't find for herself at that time. It was something else that he'd not taken her to the door and dropped her off there. Sighing as she was set upon the bed in his room she merely began to undress. Leaving her clothes to ay with the robe he'd cast off. It wasn't as though he'd not seen her before, she was hardly shy. Specially when it came to looking him over. No wonder she always loved to see him. Every opportunity taken to cast her gaze over such a wonderful form, she could have smiled but, it was saved for another time. - She'd have asked if he was sure he actually wanted her here but the question would have been useless, he'd brought her here. She didn't waste a moment climbing into his bed, pulling back the cover inviting him in…yes into -his- bed. There wasn't a need to say any more was there?
alexander_kheinmor* The door was closed behind him as he saw her slip into bed. It was always nice to see a lovely woman in his bed. That much he couldn't deny and he did smile, he had to. It just seemed right. She was naked, she was gorgeous and she was inviting him to bed. It seemed to be right for the time being. Though he knew somewhere in the back of his mind, they'd be at each other. Maybe the next evening, maybe a week from then. Who knew. He did sink down into the bed though, and he even went as far as to wrap his arms around her and pull her close. He gave her bottom a squeeze and kept her close, and let her get her rest. He didn't need to say anything. He wasn't the one for all of the words and he felt that talking any more on any subject would just ruin any kind of good mood, and he was in a fairly decent one at the moment. Though within a few moments he moved his hand to her lower back instead and closed his eyes. Morning would be around soon enough, another day, another series of things to do. She'd get along fine, he knew that much. Most dangerous females did. Even if they did have horrid families.
Cassandra_GreySeerer: Even she needed 'Nice' once in a while and this was one of those times. This was nice, it was perfect. This was how so many of her nights should have been. Snuggling and curling into him as his arms came around her. Even grinning to herself as her had to just get that squeeze of her bottom in somewhere along the line. She lay her leg over his, her head upon his chest. Close…nothing much to ask for was it really? Almost possessive in a way. Anyone could have thought as much but they had shared times like these before…perhaps a little more energetic but they'd been theirs all the same. A single kiss placed upon his chin before she settled for the night and no doubt the following day too. She needed this, the peace, the safety, knowing there was someone there that would kick arse if needed. One night from so many. It was too good to pass up and sleep would come easily for once.
