“NO!” a sharp cry to echo through her room. Sitting bolt upright in her bed and very wide awake…the lingering scent of jasmine and sandalwood told her that Noa had been here in more than a dream. Sleep? The only restful sleep she had managed to steal for herself had been that while Lillith had remained. Each wave of dreams that came had brought one nightmare after another. Still drained but fuelled by anger she rose from her bed. Muttering to herself as she crossed her room “Three days?” it wasn’t fair…then again stealing the gem hadn’t been fair either and she was reaping that which she had sown. That didn’t mean she couldn’t fight though.
The pale light of day was already beginning to stretch across the horizon. The waning moonlight cast eerie shadows upon the wall that seemed to leer and mock her every move. Still she dressed quickly, only taking a few select items from her dresser. The few trinkets she possessed were few and things she needed at least for her own sanity. The small vial she had kept since Elg had given it to her was snatched and shoved into her pocket, the diamond ear-ring she had found in Lillith’s room beneath her bed. That was laced in her pocket too along with a very small string of African beads she had managed to scavenge from Evie’s room. The trinkets were safe in her pocket but there was one last thing that caught her eye and made her pause before she took to the winds.
The thimble she had been meaning to give to Elg glittered in the moonlight and all she could do was stare for the moment. Transfixed with her thoughts, memories of the poison elf she loved so much. Regrets and wishes still un-fulfilled. Things she had wanted to say, things she had wanted to do. Her lower lip was bitten as she reached ever so slowly to take the small object between her fingers. This was her promise, to Elg. She had just about said as much, given as much of herself yet the words had still been lacking. “I’m sorry” she finally whispered to the thimble in her fingers. As though Elg would hear her, feel her heart break, her dread and her grief. Only a glance back to the bed they had shared a breath held to stave away the sobs that would have so easily reduced her to nothing but a wreck right there and then. This was no time for reverie no matter how much she meant them all. Hastily she pulled open one of the drawers on her dresser and took a small box. Just another fancy she had collected on her travels. The thimble placed within upon a bed of velvet, then closed from sight with a small click as the box closed. A scrap of paper was found and a small pencil. “For Elg” written carefully so as there could be no mistake for whom this was to go to. Just in case he came back. Just in case. The box placed upon the paper, in clear view upon her dresser. There was nothing more she could do.
There would be nothing spoken upon that link. Only the feeling left for both Evita and Lillith to feel. Unwelcome, the need to be left alone. She needed no comforting words, for she did not deserve them. There would be no tears as she looked back one last time at her room as she paused in the open window. The cherry tree her route to the winds that would carry her to where she felt she needed to be. No goodbye’s no nothing.
Aeron was gone.

Day One

Aeron Luminatti: The entire homeland would know that Aeron approached today. Far away fro the Lumination and the comforts of her own room, her own thing and the people she loved so much. Aeron was alone. The chorus of the wood reached a cacophony of voice as she merely walked toward the veil, or where it used to be. So calm. So serene, a vision of beauty, shining like a beacon to outshine the first light of day. Arms open wide as though to welcome any to her but the voice from the wood sounded more like a tide, ready to sweep in and wash everything away. Her own scent of peach was the only thing left in her wake though even that would not linger. The warning came from the wood itself, there was nothing to bar her path. Bramble and thicket parted for the Sprite that now walked back into a place she belonged. The Courts Noa inhabited would soon alert and be a fluster as she made way without pause along a path she knew well enough. Small dwellings were avoided without pause, her step never faltering. She knew them all and they al knew her, loved her and often waited for her. Eager to hear of the tales she could keep them enraptured with for hours. Only there was once again the twitching of curtains, as most knew to keep away. Rumours had spread throughout the homelands and for once she was glad that Ben was no longer here to hear them. Pools of crystal blue vision darkened as she remembered the words he had laced with so much venom. Unreasonable? Threats? Venturing into her dreams? "Noa!" she called with anger through the halls of leaves and past the falls which seemed silenced as she passed. Who the hall had he thought he was talking to? She didn't care who heard her, or gave her looks as though to reflect how crazy she was. A friendly face, brave enough to trot up alongside her, whispered softly as she still made way toward the throne of velvet pillows, expecting to find the Fae stretched languidly in all his arrogance "Don't do this Aeron" that friendly voice was merely turned to with a cold smile to condescend…She was angry, no doubt about that at all. "Leave it alone" she said well enough though her voice held that hollow touch. She didn't see who it was that had tried to help. There were only eyes for Noa "NOA!" screeched into the courts and left to echo in her vehemence. She would be heard!
Noa Amar Sin: The gurgling falls were in utter silence as the name of the fae Lord was so soundly erupted through the quiet tranquility of what had been deemed to remain, as one of them silently cascades and gently parts like a curtain being pushed aside with a deft hand, the image shimmering as the Sprite emerges from the darkness concealed beneath, behind flowing forward in the next set of lazy moments. Long lithe legs, bare feet made not a whisper as he proceeded forward, the light swish of his skirt, the mass of red hair swaying this way and that. " NOA!" he mocked, " AERON!" He had known the moment she had come back to the Homelands, there was hardly a thing that escaped his vigilant attentive eyes. " Now I am quite clear that I speculated a certain timeframe which should be upheld.” Gesturing to a hourglass made from the bark of the Manzenita tree, polished auburn brown surface, the tumbling sand from within, clearly marking the time in which she had been given. " Not even half a day and you're already back," he said with a questioning look that sprouted from his eyes and lowered, twitching his lips into a curving smile. " So...where is it?" Of course he was referring tot he gem that she had taken, his fingers curled towards his palms, fidgeting in anticipation of having it back, but was she stalling for a reason? He took a step forward and her anger was registered, no doubt the price to obtain the Gem was high, very high, but so was her punishment, but what of his flunkies, the ones he sent to make sure she failed? Had she outsmarted them, and figured it out? herself'
Aeron Luminatti: Oh she knew he mocked her, the tone, the way he just appeared so casually from behind the falls. There was almost a roll of the eyes as she watched and listened to him but her irritation and her outright anger forced her to bite her tongue, if only for a few seconds more. "I don't know where it is!" she spat. Had she known where the Heart lay she'd have retrieved it and replaced it without hesitation and he of all Sprites knew that! "You made one huge big mistake Noa" she began, gesturing with her arms just how huge a mistake he had made "You gave me a choice" she was stepping toward him as she spoke. He'd not mistake the lash of her tongue. Not this day. "You gave me a choice Noa" the bloody fool. Smiling so sardonically she cared little if she irked him or enraged him, she had as much right to be here as any of them "You said 'IF' I accept your terms…and I don't" said quite matter of fact really. "Three days and then I belong to you?" her tone was rising and her ire was already at boiling point though she did keep that lid quite firmly in place. She had not forgotten to whom she spoke "You know I'm not a possession Noa." Yes she could have even taunted. Her features animated with the simple arch of a brow. She could mock too, rounding him as she came before her. "Does it bother you so much Noa that you have to lay terms in order to think that you would have me?" mock she did. The spiteful little bitch, she could play the same games as he. Only reaching out to trail a finger over his chest as she mocked further "Does it enrage you so much to think that I promised myself to Elg, that he actually had me" she was speaking literally and she didn't care. "You will have your stone Noa but I will not accept your terms" Lillith would have been proud but she'd never know what took place this day. There was a glance to the timer and she had to smile as she flitted as Noa would have to watch the sands slipping away. If only he knew what she felt within. Perhaps Evita's ice had rubbed off a little. Acting she could not do but the ice, she learned fast and it was all kept hidden away. She was always, at the end of the day, a Luminatti too and he -knew- it.
Noa Amar Sin: The court grew very quiet as she bellowed with anger, her outrage pouring out, and not once did it seem to phase him, but a smile here and there was all that was offered while she ranted and raved about the ~ terms ~ which now she was unwilling to accept...guess this means he would have to go ahead with Plan B, the alternative to the original plan, which was to give her three days, and yet succeed in making her fail in the process. " Well now, you had best find it...you know where it is, or shall I find it myself through my Scrying Pools and kill whomever has it?" Would she want him to take the matter into his own hands, certainly not...for if he should, he could become quite the vicious little Fae. He stood his ground as she stepped forward, and lightly shook his head. From side to side, his lips mockingly repeating what he knew he had said while she slept, much like a little kid while being lectured by a demanding parent. He went as far as to roll his scarlet pupils when she mention that he should know she wasn't a possession, which was entitled to his own opinion. " No..not so much as a possession, but your birthright, which I intend to see it through," was his remark. Oh but wait, there seemed to be more, mocking him now...oh this was getting exciting as the outburst neared the part about Elg. Yes in time, Noa would have to deal with that little bothersome aspect of her life before he could assume complete control over her soul. " You are right about one thing," he said as he now circled around her, his eyes blazing with red heat. " I will have ~my~ stone...but you will agree to my terms, less I should have to, oh but I would hate to have to do things ~MY~ way....precious little Elg would make quite the trump card don't you think? Or perhaps one of the others?" His face grew dark as he began to delve deep into the blackness, summoning up visions of horrible torments that could be sprung upon, driving the nail into the coffin. " Or...or...there is my all time personal low bargaining chip. Three days or you're banished from the Homelands...forever, Aeron." He assumed his first set of terms were looking pretty good about now, after what he had just brought to the surface. " True I might come to miss your presence, but sacrifices must be made in order to PROTECT this Court, our way of life from outsiders!"

Aeron Luminatti: Had she not been so animated she might have actually looked at him as he spoke, she might have actually looked wounded and hurt and angry. So damn angry! She might have done a lot of things but she knew of the eyes that watched from their hiding places, the whispers that were sure to be abound throughout the entire Homeland, despite the fact she could have woke the dead with her shouting. She was past all semblance of sanity. "The stone isn't lost Noa. I know who has it. I just don't know where" she lied? Somewhere deep within herself she knew where Theoren was, though she'd never understand why. Perhaps it had something to do with the Angel. A brief thought just as brief as it passed through her thoughts. "More threats Noa?" this time she would stand toe to toe with the fiery Fae. There would be no adoration in her gaze this time, he had struck lower than even she could have imagined. "Don't threaten me or those I love. This is between you and I. You and I alone" What would he have given to have heard the words she had spoken to Elg all for himself. Just what price would he put on that? Would he really cut off his nose to spite his face and banish her from the veil? She laughed, a hollow, empty laugh and looked toward the pillows Noa usually lounged upon. His throne for all intent and purpose. "My birthright?" she had heeded his every word and she'd not forget. However, she turned from him and skittered toward Noa's prized cushions and simply threw herself within the soft, extravagance. The simplicity of her simple shift she had worn melted away to leave covering her lithe figure, nothing more than threads of silk. The Widow Weaver had been more than generous. A garment fitting for one of her stature as it were. The drops of dew glistened within the threads in the light as it peeked through the leaves that kept Noa shaded and cool on this warmest of days. "Fitting don't you think" lounging languidly, stretching in that way that could only mock Noa further "You will have the stone." She would not risk being banished. His words had cut deep. Her 'fix' as he had said, as and when suited her. Rotting away within the body of a mortal…the thought terrified her…though despite her indignation. She knew that she had risked everything when she had taken the Heart from its resting place. "Is this how you would have me too?" she rolled to the side and reached for a stray morsel from the fruit bowl his puppets always made sure he had. Though it never passed her lips. "I'm touched, deeply touched to think that you'd miss my presence" her hand was placed over her heart, but there was no missing the sarcasm or the venom in each and every word.
Noa Amar Sin: For the moment he was assured that he was getting somewhere, she could not have the decency to even appear to be looking at him as he went in his vain prideful, sprite-like manner. Anger radiated off her, like the heat from the noon day sun, solar flares spiking with each word that came crawling from her mouth. She had made the comment that the stone was indeed, not lost, and knew who had it...so she didn't have it? If she didn't have it, then who did? " You had best find out where...before I do," his tongue lashed back, shot the words at her like stinging bullets. Threats, yes, threats and still yet more to come before either of them were completely finished with this little get together..." Lets not forget, whomever has the stone will be dragged into this." He seemed to grow more agitated by the moment as she came within toe to toe with a manner of defiance. " By your-own-thieving-hands no less, Aeron...not only will you pay, but whoever as it, will pay twice as dearly." This was no meager idle, empty threat, this was one he was bound to by his word...and to prove this point, he outstretched his arm, turning towards the rosebushes that grew on either side of his throne, pricking his finger upon a black hidden thorn beneath such beautiful petals, and sealed his threat in his own blood. " We shall see if this person is so worth your love that you will be willing to sacrifice them in order to beat me to it." Though what she had beat him to was perching upon his luxurious throne, and this made his eyes narrow into cruel slits. " And what is this? Taking to seeing how it would feel to be a Queen of all you see?" This was accompanied by a short chuckle, for he was never known to have laughed ever in his long life, just a simple heh heh was enough to suffice and convince his point across in a similar fashion. " Fitting is hardly the word I would use for one in your situation...thin ice only holds so much, before it cracks beneath the pressure and you fall through into that cold, unforgiving abyss waiting underneath, my dear," he said in a short hollowed breath. The sarcasm had indeed been wasted, he cared not much for it, and simply tuned it out from within her last statement, before pulling back away and sucking lightly upon his fingertip, that is, until the small self inflicted wound was healed.
aeron_luminatti: Another taunt to come from her mouth as he continued to threaten those she loved "You don't have the balls to walk among the mortals. You abhor the banality, you fear that Noa." She knew as much for certain. Already all she had managed to do was trespass within her dreams, drag her back here to rake her over the coals. So far she had taken it all. The sick little Sprite only paled further as he sealed his promise with his own blood. "You and I Noa. Just you and I with my own thieving hands" she popped the grape she had taken into her mouth and wriggled her fingers at him. Time was wasting…but she still goaded and taunted. He had done no less. "Believe me Noa. I'm ready to pay for my crime" and she was. As much as she loved her sister and her poison elf, she had almost resigned herself to the fact that he wasn't coming back, even though he had promised her that he always would. This was kept from Noa. There was no way she'd give him that much more ammunition. Still she rolled upon those cushions and stretched with deliberation "It fits rather well My King. Don't you think?" wasn't this where he wanted her? "It’s my birthright after all" her tone rose and fell with the blatant tease and taunting. There had been no need to remind her of the thin ice on which she tread. The cold, dark and unforgiving abyss he spoke of…she was already in it though she'd never show him, or give him the satisfaction of knowing just how she felt. The Luminatti link would have been the only thread to tremor as he had sealed his promise. She was terrified of the consequences and the price she would have to pay, had it not been for Lillith, Evie and Ben, Thacher and Elg she'd have crumbled for sure and begged for his forgiveness. The Luminatti within her was strong, there was no denying that which she was, or where she belonged. Birthright or not did Noa really have that power to send her away forever? However, that link that held her to her sisters was nothing more than a lifeline. Still closed almost and unwelcoming. She'd give little away. She was punishing herself. This time she reminded him, rolling to her stomach, gazing up at the beautiful Sprite she had pushed to anger so readily. "You hold no dominion out there Noa. Your promise is false, a waste…the one who holds the stone will be dealt with…though not by you or any of our Kith" spoken like a queen? Yes, she had out and out challenged his word and she would not back down. Her gaze never wavered, she remained as calm as could be. She meant every single word.

Noa Amar Sin: He didn't have the balls did he? Oh how so certain she was that he would fear to walk where the humans dwelled, where banality was on the rise, but he had sealed his oath in his own blood, and bound by that promise was enough that if he must, he would cross over and find this being and ripped the stone from their cold dead fingers. It should have stayed between them, but it sadly was no longer the case, as the stone passed from her to another, so would they be drawn in, and so forth whomever else came to lay their eyes upon its wonders, a never ending cycle of pain to be endured so long as it was not here in the Homelands. "Are you?" he said as he stepped forward in a slow lithe stride, and swirling about, pacing back and forth...and now she was teasing with those emotions. Rather fitting? That she be sitting in the very same, almost exact spot in which he dreamed of on a constant basis? This was sure to set off his vivid and over-active imagination, the way she lounged and rolled upon the soft velvet cushions...Oh yes, he was imagining alright, the look in his eyes one could tell he was off in another world, in which she was his with absolution, a steel grip that was unchallenged. How long this daydream lasted was entirely up to his mind, of course though the spell was broken with the mentioning of his power, the leash that held it at bay, beyond this realm. "May be so...but here my power reigns, and will be obeyed." For as long as he was thinking he had been more civil, but now that it was shattered his face was contorting, his brow furrowed. "Yes, the one with the stone will be dealt with...in manners according to our laws," he said, his action of spinning around and coming to be centimeters from her face was astonishing, almost in the blurring moment it would take the eye to blink, he was before her, glaring with unbridled rage. " I will discover the identity of their gender, then I will find out their name, their face...I will send my finest warriors across with whatever they can carry, and drag them screaming back here to be put on trial...with a conviction of DEATH," he said, his voice rising so that the entire Court could feel his anger trembling the air, and then he reached for her wrist, to close those elongated, elegant fingers around her briefly, to pull her forwards. " And there is no one to blame but yourself."
Aeron Luminatti: The want to laugh in his face was almost overwhelming. His grip upon her wrist and the way he had pulled her to him. He questioned whether she was ready to pay for her crime? The constant threats against those she loved, even toward Theoren. It was just not acceptable, not under any circumstances "No, Noa. You deal with me" her voice a calm whisper, she wasn't angry, she wasn't taunting. These were her terms. "I took the Heart all on my own. I will bring it back all on my own and you will deal with me" the steely determination now merely inches from his own…she could see the flame. Was she giving into his demands? It if meant the safety of her own then this was possibly the only way it had to be. Noa's way or no way. Yes she still challenged that which he had laid down, that would never change. He should have known this. Perhaps she had caught he look in his eyes, the remnants of a dream he had dreamed so often, the imaginings of how it should have been? The heady scent of peach was now fading to something more of a subtlety. A normal measure of her temper, a strange calm from the anger she had displayed with so much ease. "I have never disobeyed Noa. Not ever and I don't plan to start now…but if you question those that are a part of me on the other side I will fight you every step of the way" she was so determined yet the calm remained. "Don't incur the wrath of the Luminatti" simply stated. She knew her sisters and she knew what they were capable of. There would be no forgetting what Lillith had done in the Underdark. She wanted to protect this part of her family too, Perhaps Noa underestimated just how much she loved them. All of them. "I never tried to shift the blame. Though if you convict me to face that death, you will see me fight that too. I did what I felt was right, for the sake of family" Everyone knew just how much family meant to her. Everyone. Perhaps that was way Theoren had asked her, told her of his plight…Aeron had a lot to learn of men and their silver tongue. The way they knew exactly what to say to gain what they desired. Still she made no move to wrench herself from Noa's grasp and she did not back away.
Noa Amar Sin: If the possibility ever had crossed her mind of the old saying...if looks could kill...then she might have been. Oh but he was planning on that even now, she would be dealt with in her own time, when he felt more that ready. She was very persistent, but what was she trying to hide behind this steel determination of her will? Who was the person who was given the Heart? And why was it needed so badly that she was willing to risk his wrath just to steal it? Yet his eyes remained focused, hard pressed and swimming with clear anger through each pupil of blazing fire. He released her wrist shortly there after the fact as she told him she would fight him every step of the way when it came to her family, turning his back. He would face anyone that stood in his way, he would try his best. Now was the moment for disobeying, as she highlighted he fact that she never would, or would she ever start...but she had, which was a wound even he would never allow her to see, just how much it hurt, how badly it sliced through everything he came to cherish within her, and dousing his ability to even trust what she came to say. Everything fell silent once again, the gurgling streams that ran along the perimeters of the court were heard once again, the dancing of fireflies that lit up the dim expanse, buzzing about, darting back and forth from here to there, like tiny glowing stars in the Heavens. This was one of those times when being in charge sucked, he had to make decisions based not on his own personal feelings, but was for the best interest of his people, his race. Finally, the pall of silence came to an end as he turned slowly back to face her once again. His face had sunk a bit, his brow wore an unhappy gesture, the animated rage of anger had seemed to cool and slink back into the darkness, replaced by sorrow, and his lips parted with sandalwood essence, hinted with ginger. " Then a trial will be set for you...a jury of Kilth will decide your fate, after the Heart is returned," he came to say with a heavy heart, if he was in possession of one. Moving towards her, in that moment it would take for his words to sink in, dipping down in that lithe blurred motion, would he risk kissing her lightly upon her fair, sick lips, before whispering into her ear. " Go...before I change my mind, Aeron." He would pull away, looking back only once.
Aeron Luminatti: She missed nothing, the cold angry stares…the silence that shrouded the courts and the atmosphere was heavy and stifling. That was the silence she couldn't stomach, it was deafening and in those moments that lingered she knew she was alone. So alone and she was miserable. Never before had she felt so wretched, cold and bereft. Only rubbing at her wrist as Noa had let her go. Only a glance to see he had turned his back on her, the tears stung the backs of her eyes and she fought back the lump in her throat. Fighting was what she did, for what she believed in. She would have done the same for Noa himself despite their differences. Couldn't he see that? Didn't he know? The serenity of the sounds of the life that surrounded them should have eased her but her breaths were sallow, as though they were held. Her heart pounded within her chest, she could hear each and every one of them pounding…threatening to break free. She had thought for a stupid, stupid! Moment that he'd understand, that he'd be able to forgive, that everything would be alright. Her naïveté had given her so many thoughts…and she had been so very wrong. Perhaps this was the moment when she came to realize that she was not truly one of them. That it didn't matter which home she chose to dwell in…neither were really hers. Looking up at Noa as he finally turned to face her, to speak to her and again cleave the bottom from her world. Her jaw must have hit the cushions she laid upon. This time as she laid down the laws which she was to be judged by there was no stopping the tears that filled her eyes, to overflow and run in rivers down her pale cheeks. Yet there was not a word she could say, there was not a gesture she could make that could change what she had done, or say how truly sorry she was. It just didn't seem fair at all. Not even the small, warm touch upon her lips, followed by his whisper. Telling her to go before he changed his mind. It was only as her lips soon chilled she sobbed with her desperation. "Noa!" her voice hoarse and broken with her grief. She would have pleaded and reached out for something, anything other than the cold, empty abandonment that left her feeling like the outcast he had made her feel. Shocked could not have described her condition. Silenced into something that was so unlike Aeron, stunned and strained jerky movements had her deliriously wonder which way was up as she tried to move from the cushions she had lounged upon. She was to be put on trial and judged…what chance did she ever…her thoughts ceased and she merely stared toward the way out though it was nothing more than a blur through her tears.

Day One

Noa Amar Sin: The flood of tears, the breaking of her voice calling his name, the echo of that pain slicing through his mind. Over and over again, to hear it as he walked away, " Noa! Noa! Noa!" It sang to him, to his soul to his spirit, what he desperately had always wanted, but still he was deeply wounded enough that he could not force his legs to stop, his knees were weak, his strength was draining away. Though he had that one last glance, back towards her from over his shoulder, his eyes were dull as if the life had ceased to be within them, followed by the slow rotation that sent his hair swaying, flying back into place, spilling down his back like blood streaked water, adverting his gaze and staring back as the waterfall parted ways, the closer he moved towards its general direction. Drawing closer, he paused just upon the opening threshold, and took the chance to look back just once more, compelled and wearing that mask of shattered emotions that burned in turmoil. He was the King of this Court and yet he was bound by the laws set forth, and he had no choice but to punish her...even though the jury were under his command, it could go either of two ways. He shook his head once, and then departed, slipping through that cascade of warm sun heated water. As he submerged himself into that cool darkness of the corridor beyond, the water sealed the rift, the hole closing in upon itself, healed of its wound and he drifted like a misplaced ghost for the privacy of his inner most chambers of earth and stone...in the shadows to await her fate. She was now alone.
Aeron Luminatti: What if she had said she'd stay? What if she had said she'd be his, be at his side as she should have been, claimed her birthright to follow in her Mothers footsteps. A Mother she had never really known, snatched away while she was still too small to remember the face she had always longed to see, by the and of her own Father. Yet she loved her family so very much. Both of them, without them she was nothing and it was that nothing Noa would look back upon as she struggled to her feet, fought to regain her composure. Swiping away the tears from her cheeks and hold her head high. Platinum mane cascading down her back as she tossed her head. The glamour of the Widow Weavers attire faded back to that of the simple cotton shift she had first dressed in. No comfort gained from knowing there were those few trinkets still in her pocket. Noa leaving her to walk away was still within her sights as she began to move from the court. However as he turned for the last time he would see the desperation. Aeron was nothing more than a shadow of her former self. The Sluagh would have probably welcomed her with open arms at this point…However, she had said she was ready to pay for her crime and she would do it. Perhaps he had listened to her after all. Had she meant for him to? Perhaps she had only wanted him to have heard select tings? Either way it didn't matter now. It was too late. Perhaps she had meant for Noa to hear the way she had called his name in such a way. A haunting reminder of the pain he could cause. Yes he was Ruler of this Court and she would obey. There had been no mistaking the sight of his own pain, the fact she had let him down in such a terrible way. She did not turn from him before he disappeared within the waters and beyond…she wanted to remember it all. She wanted to make it all better, it was her, it was just her and she had really thought he'd have understood. Still, the sands were still running through the hourglass and she had to go. Did his terms still stand? Three days and she would then be his or was it now in the hands of those that would put her to trial? Only time would tell, either that or her failure, or death, or capture. So many unreasonable thoughts of her own ran fleetingly through her mind but she was walking that long hallway with her head bowed with the shame, the pain and the desperation of someone so totally alone. Aeron was dying inside, slowly and painfully and only Lillith knew, yet there was nothing any of them could do. 'No one to blame but herself'
